Castle Gewerkenegg 20% off entrance to the Gewerkenegg castle. The Idrija Municipal Museum has its quarters at Gewerkenegg Castle, which dominates over the old town. On display in the castle is an exhibition on the five hundred-year history of the mercury mine's operation, an exhibition of the events that marked this part of Slovenia in the 20th century, the memorial room of writer France Bevk, and an impressive retrospective exhibition of Idrija lace, entitled »Idrija Lace, A History Written in Thread«.
