For the third consecutive year, the Youth Card of Spain's Balearic Islands launched their dedicated scholarship programme - Beques Carnet Jove. The scholarships aim to connect young people aged 16 to 31 with quality internships in four fields:

• Social action
• Environment
• Archeology
• Communication

In addition to the internship placement, the scholarship awards 5,000 EUR to each winner so that their work is rewarded and they can focus on learning new skills and boosting their careers.

In 2018, the scholarship winners got to work in an archeological museum, an ornithological conservation organisation, a newspaper and a group of educators working with minors.
