Young People Against Violence: Running to raise money for a good cause
Every year since 2015, Carné Joven Comunidad de Madrid - the European Youth Card in Madrid, Spain - has organised a special race called Jóvenes Contra la Violencia or Young People Against Violence. The race aims to raise awareness against all types of violence and raise funds for two organisations working for children with disabilities.

Organised in partnership with the city of Alcobendas, the race has attracted increasing numbers of participants every year along with major partners such as Coca-Cola, KIA and Vodafone. In the 2017 edition of the race, all cardholders who entered and finished the race participated in a raffle draw where the prize was a brand new KIA card.
Other prizes include trips to Ireland to practice English, trips to European capital cities and mobile phones.

The event was also used to promote the No Hate Speech Movement, the youth-led campaign supported by the Council of Europe and the European Youth Card Association.
